Develop cohesive brand guidelines for the Australian Mesothilioma Registry in order to strengthen the brand and ensure consistency in all collateral and communications.


There were a range of past designs and partly used old guidelines being used by different parts of the organisation. We reviewed them all and took the strongest and most contemporary elements to forge a new set of guidelines to apply across the organisation. Our solution established firm parameters for key brand assets with a revitalised colour palette and typographic system. We also designed sets of key internal and external templates.

The cells graphic from microscopic slides was developed and utilised throughout the branding to create a visually appealing and differentiated communication piece. Imagery of men in a 50 plus age bracket were chosen to help communicate to the key audience of mesothelioma sufferers. A forward facing arrow was also utilised as a key graphical element to help provide a positive, future-facing brand. As Mesothelioma is an aggressive cancer with no known cure, it was important to maintain a sense of positivity and hope throughout the brand elements.
